Review the etiology and incidence of lower limb amputation in the U.S. and abroad.

In this course participants will learn about diseases that lead to lower-limb amputation and what steps are taken to help the patient before and after amputation. This course addresses techniques for prosthetic management issues such as hyperhidrosis, phantom limb pain, skin friction and rubbing, and heterotopic ossification.
