Description
Recent progress in biomechatronics, surgical advances, and innovative approaches in the rehabilitation of amputees have conferred significant improvement in post-amputation treatment and function. However, successfully implementing these novel techniques requires using an interdisciplinary framework to provide more comprehensive care and the latest innovations to a challenging patient population.
A panel of international experts will discuss current concepts and their obstacles. This will be an interactive session that will include fellows of Initiative 93. The Initiative was founded 30 years ago in Chicago and is a transatlantic LLC. Since 1993, the German-speaking O&P societies have aimed to foster lifelong learning, education, and international collaboration in O&P with a six-week lasting travel fellowship for medical doctors, researchers and CPOs.
