Description
This Organized Session will explore the experience of patient pain in O&P. This includes common presentations of pain, the medical treatment of pain symptoms, and psychosocial approaches to addressing chronic and acute pain.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize non-verbal indicators of pain.
- Differentiate nociceptive from neuropathic pain.
- Conduct a pain interview.
- Assess pain using reliable outcome measures.
- Develop a plan for referrals.
