Carbon infused polypropylene is an upgrade replacement for the common polypropylene sheet materials currently utilized for vacuum thermoforming fabrication. Standard thermoplastic fabrication finishing procedures and equipment are compatible with this thermoplastic prepreg composite. The prepreg composite offers a 25% increase in flexural modulus or stiffness. Clinical creep shape change in the clinical device that is usually associated with homopolymer polypropylene from constant gait loading forces is virtually eliminated by the infused carbon fibers thus maintaining the original design shape. The material has been reviewed by the AOPA coding and reimbursement committee and is compatible with the addition L code 2755.
